Community

Zilla is source-available under the Aklivity Community License Agreement, Version 1.0 (ACL), with select components licensed under Apache License 2.0. Each component in the Zilla repository carries its own LICENSE file identifying which terms apply to it.

The ACL permits using, modifying, and redistributing the Software free of charge, with one key restriction:

Excluded Purpose

The ACL does not grant the right to use the Software for an Excluded Purpose — making the Software available as a software-as-a-service, platform-as-a-service, infrastructure-as-a-service, or other similar online service that competes with Aklivity's own products or services.

Redistributed copies (including modifications) must retain Aklivity's copyright notices and carry the license notice specified in the ACL. See the full Aklivity Community License Agreement for the complete terms.

Plus & Enterprise

Plus and Enterprise are commercial editions distributed under a separate license agreement provided by Aklivity, activated with a license key issued when you purchase or trial the product.
