Inbox
The Inbox collects everything the platform needs you to see or decide: subscription requests waiting on your approval, new API Product versions, Gateway and cluster health changes, policy breaches, and team or access changes. It's the actionable counterpart to the Audit Log, which is a historical record you read rather than act on.
Open it from the bell in the top bar, which carries the unread count.
Tabs
- Unread: notifications you haven't opened yet. Tick Show read to keep read items in place while you work through the list.
- All: every notification, read or unread.
- Archive: notifications you've archived to get them out of the list without losing them.
Select Mark all as read to clear the unread count in one step.
Categories
Filter the list with the category chips:
| Category | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Subscription requests | An Application is asking to subscribe to a product whose plan requires manual approval. |
| Subscription results | The outcome of a request you submitted: approved, rejected, or revoked. |
| Versions | A new version of an API Product you subscribe to or own. |
| Health | A Gateway Group or Kafka cluster changed health state. |
| Policy & quota | A Policy was violated on a cluster you can see. |
| Team & access | Invitations, team membership, and role assignment changes from Access. |
Each notification carries a severity, so an error or critical item stands out from routine informational activity.
Acting on a Notification
A subscription request can be approved or rejected inline, without leaving the Inbox: the decision is applied to the subscription and the requester gets a Subscription result notification back. Other notifications offer a link through to the resource they're about, dismissal, or archiving.
Who Receives What
Notifications are addressed by permission, not by broadcast: a policy violation reaches the people who can read that policy, a subscription request reaches the people who can approve it on that product. Choose which of these events also email you from your Profile.
